Make merry the heart

Hey brethren…
I know times can get hard but if you would just lean on God today and the blood of Jesus Christ that takes away all our sorrows, I know you will pull through to a better day. My prayer for you this morning is that God would keep you and nurture you through your trial until you come out absolutely victorious. God bless you, be of good cheer joy comes in the morning.

A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

A Warning To Parents ⚠

Please parents be aware of what your children are doing! As we love to give good gifts to our kids and allow them privilege, we mustn’t forget to filter out what they are being exposed to. The internet is very common these days. And almost every child and teen has a device that connects to it. Whether it be a gaming console, tablet, iPad, laptop computer or smartphone. The internet is accessible in many ways.

I recently researched how by typing in certain key words with similar or like meanings to graphic things such as pornography and sexual sin. Sex is but a mouse click away for our children, it really did worry me.

Think of how many hours your child spends online per day without adult supervision. Now think about how many teen pregnancies and young fathers there are in the world today on average. How often do we see children raising children? It all starts in the home, it takes but a second to set up parental locks and or controls on your child or teens device. This option that most devices have available gives you the opportunity to filter what is allowed in your kids minds. Maybe some devices don’t have the parental lock option. So how about us as parents be more proactive and periodically check the history of our children’s computer or device. This can be done through the search query after accessing a site. It’s up to us to do our best at raising great men and women of God, not allowing the things of this world to plant seeds of destruction in our children. we want the innocence of our kids to last as long as God intended it to God bless you parents. (scripture follows)…

But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
James 1:14-15 KJV

Forgiving in marriage

God allowed Jesus to become a sacrifice for our fallen world So that the sin debt we were in would be paid in full by Christ’s shed blood on the cross. So then if God forgave us in such a generous manner to offer up his own son to save our sinful lives,  then how much more should we honor that great price paid by Christ, and forgive our spouse even when we have been hurt by them deeply.

Now I’m not suggesting that we allow someone to commit adultery on us, physically beat us and keep allowing them to repeat that behavior towards us and we stay. No I simply mean arguments and disagreements are just not enough to allow hurt to fester up inside of us. It’s okay to feel... But it’s not okay to allow those feelings to turn in to bitterness and an unforgivable mindset. If you love your spouse how God loves you and have given up his son for our very transgressions, then let it go!… It’s not worth destroying and losing the beautiful covenant of God that your marriage represents. (scripture follows)…

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
Colossians 3:13 KJV
